Portfolio Communications is an infrastructure broker and consultant based in Seattle, WA. When this client first contacted us, they had an outdated online presence that did not match the firm’s vision and experience.
Not sure how to make things better on their own, the client approached our team for an initial consultation, and we went from there.
Their website was not mobile-friendly and challenging for them to manage and update. We recommended a mobile-first WordPress website redesign to help meet their business objectives.
Challenge & Solution
The first step involved creating a new content strategy for the client. Based on this, our content team evaluated the existing web content and made recommendations for creating new content and editing existing content to better align the content with the firm’s service offerings.
Our team created approximately two-thirds of new content together with the client. We also proofed and edited existing content to provide a consistent voice.
The next phase focused on the design of the new online presence. Initially, we provided the client with different layouts and design options.
Once Portfolio Communications narrowed the selection, our creative team created custom graphics and icons and helped the client source the required stock images.
We combined the visual and content elements into a modern, innovative online presence showcasing the firm’s services and know-how.

We worked with the client through numerous design iterations until we determined the best flow for their new online presence.
After launching the new site, our creative and SEO teams are working with the client to improve their overall search presence and help them take their new online presence to the next level by adding additional content and functionality.
We are also discussing adding a paid-search component to their overall search strategy to increase their online reach further. This will allow Portfolio Communications to appear fresh and relevant in their industry for years!
